Cafe de Paris

Bruno's favourite restaurant in Vancouver: because he tasted his first Kir Royale there, and got to use the bidet in the washroom...I think he needs to go to France very soon!!!

Slave Driver

Mom is the slave driver - Homework is a daily ritual. Thank goodness for good ol' spelling tests and Kumon Math, and the basics that make a strong foundation. (We are actually reactionaries here: general education in BC is so lame.. how can you build talent if you can't write or spell or add? Think the French have a very different take on education and interested in learning more!!

Bruno loves to pan it up for the audience

A Warm November Day

No rain, no coats: a perfect fall day with my two beautiful sons and their dear friend. Let's go outside and play!

It's been seven years

Okay, we have been at our present house for seven years, and we have just unloaded our boxes of books that were shoved away in storage.... I've finally caught my breath after seven years of running after the boys. Time sure goes quickly...wonder if I will finally get time to read all of them?

New Desk for Big Boys

Well, I have to admit it, but I have big school age boys now....so hard to realize. They have lots of homework, so they needed a desk! Bruno loves it, as he can spend lots of time on his computer!!!

November Days

The days are flying by in November....we've been buying lots of new furniture and cleaning house this month!!! The calm before the Christmas Season takes hold of us!!!!

Bruno looks so sad....just before he begins laughing!!!

Happy Hallowe'en Everyone.....

Maximilian, Bruno, and Boris the dog wish all of you a wonderful Hallowe'en 2008!!!

Boris was batman, our superdog!!!

Seemed like Hallowe'en went on and on this year!!!! We had a great night trick or treating! Again, Max was the famous Harry Potter (think this is the last year!) and Bruno, always the original, was BEN 10, a cartoon character. Bruno put his costume together at the last moment, and really enjoyed being Ben 10 (unfortunately, no one has really heard of Ben 10, except of course, 6-10 year old boys!!).

Hallowe'en Day for the Primary Students

The school put on an indoor pumpkin patch with stations for the primary students, hosted by the grade seven class. There was face painting, beanbag toss, hallowe'en reading, bowling, and pin the tail on the pumpkin!!

The Pumpkin Patch was indoors, due to the rainy weather

Max's wonderful classroom with the amazing Miss Hewitt!!
