Hallowe'en is here!

I made these fun treats for Bruno's class....it was lots of fun and he was very excited to share treats with his class...

Number 7

Max is on the volleyball team, and I think I am becoming crazy screaming mom at the sidelines.  We don't do a great deal of team sports, so I am not used to being the typical soccer mom, but my goodness, it comes out anyways.  Never a fan of volleyball when I was young, I am really loving watching Max at his games!!

They are so little, and so focused and having so much fun!

Boris loves the Volvo

My dear friend Magda and her family bought a Volvo that seats 7 people.  I have huge car envy as you can drive the kids and their friends, and of course, the poochie.  Boris was in heaven and he clearly would like one too!

Walkathon, Multicultural Dinner, Pet Blessings

We just finished one of the busiest weeks in the school year; there was the blessing of the pets, the St. Francis Feast day luncheon, cross country meet, Multicultural dinner, and Walkathon!!!  We are relaxing this weekend and taking a break from it all!

Cross Country Running

Here are the boys at the annual Cross Country Meet for all the Catholic schools; the boys compete against other schools in a running race.  The weather was perfect, and it was lots of fun to see all the other schools.

 Santiago and Max and Bruno...friends!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

We've had a busy fall thus far; cross country running, pet blessings, school dinners, and lots of celebratory activities.  We are full on into the swing of the school year; and loving it.  There is lots of learning, growth, and time for friends.  We are grateful for all of it!  Happy Thanksgiving from Max and Bruno!!!

What a boy wants....

This year, Max decided that he didn't want a birthday party. Instead, he wanted his best friend to come over for a sleep over. So this is what we did:

Max's dear friend Pietro came over in the afternoon; the boys had lunch and played; then we went out for dinner at the White Spot; then we went to the church choir performance; then we came home and the boys watched a movie with popcorn. They watched "Iron Man 2" which just came out on DVD. Of course, Bruno was there all the way. They stayed up late and had a grand old time.

And, I was surprised at how easy it all was!!!! Happy 9th Birthday Max!

Choir Night Out on the town

We have fantastic choirs at our church and in the school. Here is a fabulous performance put on by all the choirs. Sure wish the boys were interested in singing; no such luck right now!!

Poodle Parties

Now that the kids are all in school, we have doggy playdates...ha! ha! Here are the three standard poodles having a great time together.

Introducing Poppy the Poodle

There are three poodles in the neighbourhood: Good ol' Boris; charming Clover (love the black ink of her coat), and now Poppy the baby of the trio who is a beautiful irish red/brown. We call her and Boris the Louis Vitton colours!!! The three are quite the trio!!

Family....a girl at last!!!

We have a beautiful girl in the family....Angelina, who was born on August 22. Here we are at her baptism!!!!
I can't wait to shop for/with her!!!!! Pink finally!

Here is Oma with her four grandsons and one granddaughter!

Lego Store unto itself

The highlight of the week and perhaps the year is that there exists entire stores dedicated to just LEGO!!! Can you imagine? Can you believe the happiness?

Max and Bruno not only picked out special LEGO sets, but actually talked to the "knowledgeable" store clerks about LEGO!!! What a great day!

Boeing Flight Museum

While I was at a workshop; the boys went to Seattle for the day to 1. visit the flight museum and 2. visit the lego store in Bellevue Mall
Great pics, Dad!

Not sure Bruno would make it into space....the angle's a little wonky on the helmet!!!
