Max and Bruno wish you all a great 2009!!!

Four years ago, Grandpa died. He would have been proud of his two grandsons. How he would have enjoyed listening to their stories and seeing all their exploits. We wish he was here, but we are glad he is in a better place!!!

To Nintendo or not to Nintendo....

So, Santa gave the boys Nintendo DS Lite thingamagigs for Christmas. A slippery slope: we are entering the world of playstation, wii, etc. All the things I know nothing about. I fear the road we've taken, but with clear rules, hopefully it won't be an obsession with the boys. Max could take it or leave it, but Bruno, the techie kid, is in LOVE with his game.

The Four Seasons.....

They allow dogs at the Four Seasons....thank God!!! We took the boys on a mini-vacation to the Four Seasons: a little swimming, a little cable tv, milk and personalized cookies from the staff, and lots of rest for mommy!!!

Boris really enjoyed himself!!!! We could get used to this lifestyle!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone

This Christmas was all about Nintendo DS, and lego, and Star Wars, and lots of games. Thanks for all the gifts everyone! Santa was very generous, so the boys were definitely on his good list!!!

Opening the Gifts on Christmas Eve

We open gifts on Christmas Eve....both Chris and my families have always done that. However, next year, I want to open them on Christmas Day for a change. Shake up the tradition!!!!! It is hard for the boys to run into their room, and have Santa arrive at 7:00 pm!!!!

More Snow on Christmas Eve

Christmas Concert 2008

The boys were both in their school play called "The Mystery of Simon Shepard", about the story of baby Jesus being born.

Max was a Roman: he was so excited and he wanted to know all about the Romans and why they killed Jesus. Said we would take him to Rome some day soon!!!

Bruno was an angel, and as you can see, he wasn't too impressed with being an angel, stating, "Girls are Angels". Max had to set him straight by telling him the most important angel of all, Gabriel, was a boy angel!!! Not sure if stage performance is in the cards for Bruno, although he was upset he wasn't chosen to be Joseph!!!

Christmas Tree goes up...

Our tradition of putting up the tree: drag up the ol' fake one from the crawl space. Our crazy tree that we have had for 10 years is now graced with lots of pictures of the boys growing up!!!

Boris loves to watch: Bruno took this great picture of Boris being stoic and regal for about 30 seconds!!
