Parade of the Lost Souls

Our very colourful neighbourhood has a yearly celebration, the weekend before Hallowe'en called the Parade of Lost Souls. Basically, the city closes Commercial Drive to traffic, and people join in the festivities of dressing up in costume, and parading around the streets. Always lots of fun, and great costumes, and lots of little kids as well as adults. This year, Max was a huge hit, since he looks so much like Harry Potter. He was constantly asked by Japanese students to have his picture taken. A great adventure!

The Pumpkin Patch

A great day at the Pumpkin Patch with the boys...

Bruno and Max having a great discussion in the Pumpkin Patch....

Bruno falls at the pumpkin patch and gets all dirty!!! Poor baby!!

The beautiful pumpkins on a beautiful fall day. We are getting ready for Hallowe'en!!

Charlie and Boris

Grandma's new dog: Charlie. He is complete lap dog: he likes to sit with you, and is very calm and quiet for a small dog. We love Charlie!!

Boris loves the bath. He always wants to get in and join the boys. He watches them with much enthusiasm, and eats the bubbles!!! Crazy dog!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend 2008

A morning walk with Boris in the UBC Endowment Lands....

Starbuck's hot chocolate in hand, the boys walk in the forest!!!

Dinner with friends!!!

Walkathon 2008

Every year, before the Thanksgiving long weekend, our school has the annual Walkathon, to raise money for the school. This year, the weather was fantastic, and the boys walked with their school classmates...I hope we raised lots of money! Thanks for all the pledges, especially from Boris the dog!!

Max's Cross Country Team!!!!

Max's school: cross country meet!! The beginning of boys in sports...a little overwhelming for me as there were so many fast runners and so many kids!!!

What is cross country? Basically, the kids run around a prescribed course, in their age teams (ie grade 2 boys, grade 2 girls). Each Catholic school has a team, so the students are competing against schools, and ultimately against themselves. Lots of fun!

Studying Salmon

In Grade two, the students study the life cycle of the Salmon, so we went of a fieldtrip to Capilano Canyon to observe the salmon!!!

The kids thought it was fantastic to see the salmon jumping the ladders. Beautiful scenery!!

All Creatures Great and Small...

The annual blessing of the animals at St. Francis of Assisi Parish: every year, animals are blessed on St. Francis' name day. Boris has lots of fun with all the small dogs (he thinks they are toys to play with, which has caused a few crazy incidents!!!)

Bruno smiles

Bruno likes to smile and not show his teeth, so his smiles always look a little serious. So, I was very surprised when Max took these photos of Bruno being a little crazy!!! I love to see him when he is wild and happy!!!
