Birthday Bears

Max and Bruno went to their friend Sebastian's Build a Bear Birthday Party!!! A complete smash!~ They loved it so much....a great birthday adventure!!!

Bruno gets his Omega 3's easily by eating lots of salmon. He loves it and can eat 10 pieces at a time. Then, he smells of Salmon for a few days!!! Good brain food, Bruno, but don't choke on those pieces of sashimi!!!

We usually go for sushi once per week!!!

Bruno's Introduction to Kindergarten

Bruno goes to Kindergarten in the fall. Here is the Principal introducing him to his wonderful teachers: Mrs. Sudar and Mrs. Yam. It will be a great year for Bruno!

Introducing Boris the Dog...

Here is our 10 month old brown Standard Poodle. He is lots of fun and he fits into our house!! He is really big and really lovely and has a great personality!!!

The University of British Columbia is 100 years old..

We went out to UBC to celebrate it's 100 Birthday! It has really changed over the last 20 years. The biggest change is to the Main library, which has turned into the new learning centre!!! Totally beautiful!















Look at the layout and the openness of it all. Remember the stacks and how scary it was to go into them? Well, no longer. Just light and air and great study spaces. Makes you want to go back to school...sort of!!!

The priest from Max's school died, so the students and staff from his school lined up as the casket was brought to the church for prayer service. Really sad day for the school.

Sports Day

Tradition in Vancouver is that we have Sport's Day before the May Long Weekend (Victoria Day). Here is Max enjoying one of the best run sports day at his school (and I know all about mediocre Sports Days as I've had to participate far too many for my liking)!

It was a great day and it was finally warm in Vancouver!!!

Boys at Church

Victor's Baptism was on Sunday. Victor is Bruno's best friend, and we have known Victor, Vanessa, and their parents, Magda and Martin for seven years. We are the God parents, and it was a really lovely service and reception afterwards. Magda and Martin have such a beautiful home...

Happy Mother's Day Everyone

Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day. I was charmed by all the lovely cards and treats from the boys - things I love the most! They are so excited when they show me their gifts made at school - it is so touching and perfectly wonderful!!!
