Reading and jackets

Max is reading! We are excited. It is a lot of work to practice, but really fun!

Notice the "insect" on his shirt: Spiderman's logo!!! We are back into a huge superhero phase. Max wanted to put tape on his fingers and toes so he could climb the wall like Spiderman!

Here Max and Bruno are jumping!!! Max has a nice blazer on, which I wish went with his school uniform! I so love the blazer look!

New coats for Spring...away with the down jackets!!!!

Max wanted to show you his shark, one of his new obsessions - learning about the Great White Shark. Not sure I'm really into the military look, but the jackets are cute in a very retro kind of way.

We just need spring to arrive on the West Coast!

Sunday play: the Park and Riding Bikes

Max and Bruno at the park...a favourite past time.

Bruno has a new bike!!! Now both boys are riding their bikes. We've finally graduated from a tricycle to a two wheeler. Now, we have to get Max off the training wheels-yikes!

True brotherly love..in between the arguments and tears, Max and Bruno have a great fondness for each other and a great bond!!!!

Max's Kindergarten Class

So few images of Max's class. The themes in Kindergarten are Bears, and Dinosaurs for January and February! It is still hard to believe that Max is in Kindergarten, and on his way.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is becoming such a big celebration these days...preschool parties, kindergarten parties, lots of candy, and mom making 50 valentine's for the boys. I should have just bought the tacky ones at Safeway!!!!

We had a great day... we hope everyone had fun, and thanks for all the valentines and chocolates!!!!!

Playing in the Park: It feels like Spring for a Day

First, we have hot chocolate, and then we venture to the park

Bruno can finally climb up the chain on his own, wearing his red converse shoes

Max jumping....like a superhero!

Skiing Lessons in the Sunshine

Here we are at Mount Seymour, watching Max take lessons.
He graduated from the "den" to the rope tow. Here he is with his instructor, waiting to ski down the hill.

The kids have to show they can make their "pizzas" to stop and "french fries" to stand in the learning area.

Putting on his skiis, and getting ready to go. We can't wait to get both of them up the chairlift!!

The Rest of January was routine....

Can we go back to Cuba?

Cousins birthday party

Swimming lessons at Aquaventures

Shopping with mom...check out Bruno's Duffle Coat which I totally love!!!

Violin lesson not going over so well....

A crazy and hectic month and we are glad it is February!!!

Back to Work

For those of you who don't know, I have moved jobs to a new school.

This was a module called "Art and Poetry Connections" and I worked with a great group of grade sixers.

So, here's my room!!!!

This is January 2007...

Max and Bruno in Cuba

Here we are in Santa Clara, Cuba, Jan 2-9th

The pool was fun...

but the beach was spectacular...

Bruno having fun, and Dad having some great Cuban coffee in the morning...

Going for a boat ride

Looking relaxed, Max!!!

Swimming...with a little pose going on by me (okay...trying to look thin in my bikini!!!)

Really, they are not twins (I have to keep telling people...)

Walking from the pool. We had a great time, and Max keeps asking when we can go back!!
