Will I be this type of Mother in Law?

I love this post about being a mother to boys

I will be the notorious mother in law, or ....I can begin right now to work on being gracious, as I have a bit of time (say the next 10 years!)

I am sad the day they leave me for someone else!

SFA Open House

Max's report on immigration:  writing about Oma's story...

Bruno studies the Chrysler Building in New York...hopefully we can visit it soon!

Look at all the great buildings studied in grade 3:  wonderful work everyone!

Max's description of self:  "I am a little grade five student....."

SFA's annual Open House  is always a treat...it is nice to see what the boys are working on and to catch up with their teachers.  Bruno has been studying Structures and Buildings and Max just finished a unit on Immigration.  Good work, boys!

Teaching the Boys to Cook

Two fantastic teachers I work with told me that one of the best things they taught their own children was how to cook.  Basically, they make their kids responsible for a meal once per week.  They helped their child buy groceries, choose the meal, and taught them how to prepare it.  So....
I am trying to do the same...Max choose to make pizza; so we bought the ingredients, and I helped him out a wee bit...
But he really took to it..and made a pizza..half cheese and half mushroom pepperoni.

Boris wondered why he didn't get a piece!
