In Grade two, the students study the life cycle of the Salmon, so we went of a fieldtrip to Capilano Canyon to observe the salmon!!!

The kids thought it was fantastic to see the salmon jumping the ladders. Beautiful scenery!!

The Sun and the Sea
One of the reasons we love Vancouver is the ocean, but we don't go to the beach as much as we should. We had the most beautiful day at Ambleside Beach...glorious weather and waves and wind!

Chris and Boris in the sunshine
I love watching the boys play by the ocean. It reminded me of this quote:
We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came - John F. Kennedy

Annual Robertson Family Reunion
Our annual family reunion that takes place every fall. We all meet up with family, and toast to the Haggis!!! Max and Bruno were so excited to see their big cousins again...
Linda, Hollis, Harrison and Keenan Wry; our happy cousins!!!
a wee bit of scotch and Haggis round out every party!!!
cousin Steven ready to cut the Haggis...
The Haggis!!!!
Mom and Uncle George
Max and Bruno's big cousins!! All the kids are growing up and it was fun to see all our big cousins
Loosing the front teeth!!!
Max lost his front tooth....he is really growing up!! All in the first week of school!! I love nothing more than when little kids smile and their two front teeth are missing - it is the cutest thing and represents innocence and at the same time, growing up. It was really a bittersweet moment, as Max skipped away from me and said, "I love you mom!!"
