Drama Class presentation at Arts Umbrella

Having a great time acting out poems by Shel Silverstein. Max loves drama class!!!

Teaching Mom to play chess

I must admit, I've never had the patience for chess, but I think it is a great strategy game. So...I'm learning to play with Max, who seems to get it quite easily. Not me...I'm still confused about how the pieces move!!!

Sunday play time

I can't believe they are so big...how did this happen? These skinny legs and long bodies and crazy laughs. It goes way too fast!!!!

At the toy store. Zellers to be exact. How awful. It was depressing to see all these plastic toys. The boys loved it!!!! We didn't buy, we just looked.

Four Cousins in a Row

Here are the four cousins: Joshua is the baby, and so cute!!! Joshie is 9 months old, followed by Cory who is two years old, followed by Bruno who is four years old, and finally, Max who is six years old. Can't wait until they are older and can hang out together!!!

Max visits the Challenge Centre

Max had two professional days in a row, so he came to Mom's work and participated in the Grade 3/4 Challenge Centre. We had lots of fun. Here he is explaining his animal to the rest of the class.

Great weather in Vancouver: feels like spring

Valentine's Day Dinner

We took the boys to a Valentine's Day dinner at the church: a classic Italian event at the Parish. Bruno loved the parma ham and dinner rolls!!!

Max and Bruno Valentine's Day 2007!!!!! How quickly the year went!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! We wish you all lots of love on this day of red and pink. May all your love be true!!!!

Valentine's Party at Preschool: Bruno's last Valentine's Party at Preschool, as he is off to Kindergarten in September. The children shared valentines, and lots of great food.Bruno proud of his Valentine's box
Treats galore

Getting ready for school
Max and Bruno's valentine's. I had them made this year, as the task of putting together 50 valentines was a little daunting for all of us. The boys had fun writing their classmates' names in their cards. Thanks, Tinyprints for the great valentines!!!

Granville Island here we come...

Went to Old Navy, where I never go, but I found these fun sneakers for the boys....so hard to find white sneakers...really wanted the Jack Purcell's from J Crew, but in ordering the 50 dollar plus sneakers, I had to wait until May to get them... I could write an entire blog about trying to find interesting clothes for boys!!!
Max and Bruno in their new St. Patrick's day hoodies.
We really want spring to get here soon... as the Groundhog said, Spring will be here early this year!!!

Enough skiing for Bruno

Bruno's last lesson, and enough for one season!!!

Max heading off to the chair lift
Brothers ready to hit the slopes

Saturday at Little Nest

Around the corner from our house is a great kid friendly restaurant called "Little Nest", which I frequently visit with the boys. It is a great place to eat and to let the kids run around, while moms enjoy great food and coffee!!! The boys love to visit, and enjoy drawing and having hot chocolate. Lunch and breakfast on the weekends are crazy and it is hard to find a table!

Bruno and the hat

It is hat and scarf day at Bruno's preschool, and Bruno is wearing his favourite hat, which he will not take off, and has been sleeping in!!!

Snow Day in Vancouver....school cancelled for the boys

While the public system remains open (it will take a miracle to close a public school in Vancouver) , the Catholic system is a little more friendly when it comes to snow: kids should be out playing in the stuff and having fun, and not in school. We had a great day playing in the snow.
